Building the layer underneath how labs actually work
Nonte is a UK-based data provenance company building the integrity layer for translational and pre-clinical research. We started with a stubborn question: why does so much grant-funded, sponsor-funded research get repeated? The answer wasn’t lazy science. It was missing context and traceability.
Mission
Make research defensible by default.
We want every discovery to be traceable from the protocol design draft to the patent, without anyone needing to reconstruct the past from email and memory.
Done well, that’s invisible work. The day Nonte matters most, you barely notice it’s running. Until a reviewer, a sponsor or an inspector asks a question, and the answer is already there.
“The data exists. The story of how it came to be doesn’t travel with it. We’re building the system that carries the story.”

Who we serve
From single labs to whole research networks.
Translational research happens everywhere, small university labs, contract organisations, hospital research units, multi-site programmes. Each has the same provenance gap. Nonte scales with them.
Audit-ready submissions when the time comes, because every step of the work was already captured.
Where we are
Headquartered in Birmingham. Built for the world.
UK-rooted, internationally validated. We work closely with research institutions in the UK and North America, and the platform is built for the regulatory environments that matter to both.
United Kingdom
Birmingham HQ. Aligned to HTA, MHRA and UKRI expectations.
North America
Live programmes with research institutions across the US and Canada.
Built with researchers
Co-designed with translational research teams. Not for them, with them.
